This assignment had a very broad goal originally. I was asked to connect 2-3 narratives from the 1918 pandemic with David Foster Wallace’s Consider the Lobster. Through this lens I could investigate the themes and patterns found in the narratives, the regret one might feel over eating an animal, and align it all to the suffering of humans/animals from a humanist perspective.
